Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

Multiurethanes is the innovative leader in grouting applications providing knowledgeable, hands-on expertise to tunneling, mining, heavy civil, utility, deep excavations, and geotechnical grouting applications. The Multiurethanes team of experts brings industry-leading best practices and training to every grouting project.

As a Mechanical Technician, you will ensure all equipment and accessories are refurbished, restored to near original condition.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Test, inspect, diagnose, repair, and paint all industry related equipment/accessories
  • Perform routine maintenance on all grouting equipment, fleet vehicles and trailers
  • Assisting Field Technicians on project set up and equipment maintenance and refurbishment
  • Mobilizing and demobilizing required materials and equipment for job sites
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Performing other warehouse and building maintenance duties as required

You Provide

  • Post-secondary education
  • A minimum of 10 years experience as a service technician
  • General knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • General knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, gas cylinders and air compressors
  • Ability to maintain records of maintenance and repairs performed
  • Versatility – demands change frequently according to customers’ priorities
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel to 2 locations (Kitchener and Guelph area)
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (40 kg)
  • Safety focused attitude and behaviour
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility to work either inside or outside as required
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team environment
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge and experience of building maintenance an asset
